Convenient public parking is available in a number of locations throughout the City of White Rock, so you’ll always find a spot right near where you want to visit.

FREE PARKING UPTOWN
On-street parking along Johnston Road, George Street, Foster Street, Russell Avenue, Thrift Avenue, Roper Avenue, Prospect Avenue and Pacific Avenue in the commercial Uptown White Rock core and in Five Corners is free 24 hours a day, and length-of-stay varies by location. Watch for the parking signs on each block to guide you.

Many White Rock shopping centres, such as Central Plaza at Johnston Road & North Bluff Road, Royal Plaza at North Bluff Road and George Street as well as Hillcrest Mall at Johnston Road & Thrift Avenue provide ample free parking for customers of their mall businesses. Many other retailers and offices offer limited free customer parking on their property or in their building garage as well. Be sure to ask.

Parking in residential areas is just that… for residents with City-issued parking decals only. Unless you are a guest of a resident on that street with a parking pass, please do not park in these areas as you will receive a parking violation ticket and may be subject to having your vehicle towed. Be sure to watch the street signs to make sure you are parked in a public parking area only.
 
PAY PARKING
Affordable, City-operated pay parking is in effect year round at the following locations:
  • Centennial Arena (14600 North Bluff Road) - 24 Hour Dispenser Lots: $2.00 per day (with limited short term parking available); Meters: $1.00 per hour.
  • Peace Arch Hospital (15521 Russell Avenue) - 24 Hours a day, $2.00 per hour.
  • Waterfront – Marine Drive (14500 block to 15700 block) - 10:00am - 2:00am March 1 to October 31; 10:00am to 8:00pm November 1 to February 28, $2.00 per hour.

Only stopping by for a few minutes? For your added convenience, incremental parking of 15 minutes for 50 cents and 30 minutes parking for $1 is also available at all pay lots. Remember - The money that you spend in the pay parking machines is returned back into the community in many ways – including projects and maintenance that keep our City to stay beautiful and picturesque year-round. THE RETURN OF FRIENDLY PARKING!
The City of White Rock recently introduced a new Pay Parking System that is on the cutting edge of technology and customer service. You will never again worry about getting a parking ticket in White Rock, because the new Pay-by-Space system allows you to purchase parking time or add to existing parking time at any dispenser, or by using your cell phone. Just enter your space number and pay, keep the receipt and walk away.

  • You don’t have to walk back to your car to display your ticket
  • You can purchase additional time by visiting any dispenser or using your cell phone* and entering the space number
  • You can pay with credit card or cash at any dispenser
  • Credit card transactions are quick and safe – the card never leaves your sight
  • Customers can pay for parking using their personal cell phone*
  • Allows for enhanced management of pay parking activities

    *Simple registration with Verrus Mobile Technologies Inc. required. Call Verrus at 604-676-1750. The first time you call you will need to register with your 10 digit telephone number, a 4 digit numeric password of your choice, and your credit card number with the expiry date. When you are ready to pay for parking, just make sure you know your stall/space number and follow the voice prompts. It's easy! Nominal user fees apply.

ATM CASH & CHANGE MACHINES
The electronic pay parking machines accept coins, MasterCard and Visa credit cards. If you need change for the meters, there are several change & ATM cash machines located along Marine Drive.

On West Beach, there are change/ATM cash machines at:
  • the corner of Oxford Street and Marine Drive;
  • at 1101 Elm Street at Marine Drive next to Troll’s Restaurant;
  • at 14935 Marine Drive at Vidal Street next to The Boathouse Restaurant;
  • and at 15030 Marine Drive at Martin Street across from the Pier.

On East Beach, there is a change & ATM cash machines at:
  • the corner of Balsam Street and Marine Drive; and
  • in front of the Moby Dick Restaurant at 15479 Marine Drive.

These machines distribute paper money and/or coinage in Canadian funds only.
